The Kentucky Association of Museums (KAM) provides services and programs developed to increase public awareness and appreciation of museums throughout the state. KAM offers professional development opportunities through workshops, seminars and meetings. The KAM annual meeting,held at sites of interest across the state, provides members unique learning opportunities, access to a diverse network of colleagues and a voice in the future of the organization.

This accessis designed to help meet the challenges and common concerns facing museums today. KAM's primary means of disseminating this knowledge is througha monthly e-mail newsletter, KAMGram,and a print publication, Museum Matters.These publications keep members up to date on exhibits, programs and special events happening at organizations around the state.

There are several types of memberships available. The following is a brief guideline as to the types of memberships available.
Types of Memberships
- Organization - for museums, historical and genealogical societies, historic sites, libraries, educational institutions, and related non-profit organizations.
- Corporate - for profit businesses.
- Associate - for tourism offices, convention, & visitors bureaus, goverment agencies and related institutions.
- Individual - for general public, artists, museum staff, volunteers, board members, and members of historical organizations.
- "I Love KY Museums"- receive all the benefits given at the individual level and also be recognized in KAM print and electronic publications as a supporter of Kentucky's museum community.
